where to find money for school

I am unemployed and looking to go back to school. I applied for a Sallie Mae Loan for the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York and was turned down for the loan. They offer no other options with the school Sallie Mae is it. I guess they are not a Federal Accredited Institution. I am set on this school b/c it is the only vegeterian, organic culinary school in my area,has a great reputation, and job placement. I am passionate about vegeterian and vegan cooking and would like to be directed to a source where I could get financial help. I am currently struggling financially and trying to better my situation for me and my children by securing a solid education and career to follow. Thanks for helping! Happy healthy New Year too!

I recently had a stroke and now only have about 60 percent of my vision. I now need to go to college so that I can train in a career that does not require peripheral vision. I would like some advise on the grant/ loan process. Also if anyone has suggestions on a career choice that would help too. I have worked in manufacturing for the past 10 years so I don't know where to go from here. Thank you.
